Friday's Fave Five- July 16th

I hope that your all had a lovely week. What were your favorite moments, things, places this week? Please join me at Living to Tell the Story and share!

1. That time of year again! Last year I was known (hopefully affectionately) as "that crazy lady from Quebec eating maggoty cherries." Well, the season is staring again! I'm shocked that (most) people here don't eat what we've been freely given. I have no problems doing so.

2. Having things start moving on the TOS Homeschool Crew again.
Things have been slow on my blog as I haven't had much motivation to post. Hopefully, with reviewing starting up (two reviews to be posted next week), I'll get back into the swing of things!

3. Baby exploring the world. I guess I don't have to tell you I LOVE the baby stage. If I could figure out 4 year olds I would have a dozen children!

4. Guacamole:
Needs no further explanation!

5. Sitting outside with my big kids!
I love summertime for homeschooling. We somehow seem to get a lot more accomplished, and while sitting out under our big oak trees, at that.

  1. I love your fave five, my dear! You know, I was camping in your neck of the woods, but i didn't bring your phone number to give you a call. I will not make that same mistake the next time we have to camp over there :) We stayed at the Arm of Gold Campground in Florence. It was pretty nice, but the price was what motivated us to stay there. Cory's boss worked out a deal so we stayed there for 4 nights free! There are some really nice "real" camping spots in the Highlands National Park.

    Signed,
    affectionately,
The crazy lady from Alberta with all those kids picking/eating maggotty cherries ;)

  2. I can't believe people can leave cherries alone as well. They are bar none, my favorite summer fruit. I eat a rediculous amount of them before the season ends. And Guacomole, well, don't get me started. Love this stuff. Be all and end all!!

  3. Oh, guacamole and me go way back. I love the stuff and never get tired of it.

I love cherries, too. They are so darn expensive though, that it is a real treat when we do get them.

Studying under a tree outside in the fresh air sounds like the kind of learning I could get right in to!

  4. I'm such a sucker for a baby! And I agree, there's nothing like the outdoors for learning.

    Enjoy these summer days!
