Multi-tasking

You know that university course that I was talking about here in my 10 things to do by the end of the year (2007)? Well, I didn't finish the two assignments. I didn't even work on them. In all honesty I didn't start working on them until April (and my semester is over April 30th). I had 4 assignments to write this month but with the pressure of a deadline, I've found myself having to multi-task this month.

Our back yard this afternoon:

Our table is a wonderful work area for myself (ah, feel the warm sunlight).

It's also a perfect tent for the kids to rest and read in. It was quite lovely to listen to Liam reading his book (his reading is coming along quite amazingly. We've given up Hooked on Phonics as it was just too easy for him now). Morgaine was also "reading". It went something like this.....

"A good girl lived with some mean girls. She wanted to dance. A fairy mom-mother came. She danced and danced and danced. She married the prince and danced and danced and danced."

Picnic Time

Well, spring has most definitely sprung in my neck of the woods and we couldn't be more thrilled. While, it wasn't the warmest day we've had this spring we decided to go ahead and have a picnic. It was wonderful. The kids chased each other around and Mum got to sit and soak up the sun. And we had our favorite lunch....a platter (basically, a fruit, a veggie, a cracker or pita, and a protein) Yummy!!

We look forward to many more long summer days in the sun!!

My Current Computer Situation

Dscf1441

Yep, my monitor is on a two foot high table. It most certainly isn't ergonomically correct. So, me dears, I will be leaving you all again for a few days while my basement is under total construction. I'll be back more regularly in May (which I am hoping will be the start of many good things and a more relaxing time). The last month or so (well, several month have been crazy...and it looks like things will get worst before they get better) but May will certainly bring good things (our house should be up on the market, my course will be done, and warmer days and new adventures await us!!)

Pretty in Pink

Okay, I was totally NOT going to get into the pink is for girls and blue is for boys mentality. I wanted my children to be comfortable with all posibilities in life and not just those stereotypical ones. Unfortunately, with the "help" of those around my both kids have fallen into gender typical roles (Liam less so...but it'll probably happen *sigh*). Morgaine is completely and totally in a princess phase and it's been going on for quite some time. It has gotten to the point that she will not put on a pair of pants because that means she is "not a princess". I've been going with it because I don't really know what else to do.

Grandma just got back from vacation and brought Ms. "Princess" Morgaine some pink clothes and jewlery (her first). Let me tell, she was on cloud 9!!

She is cute though *lol*

Oh what a day

For a beautiful green drink.

Okay, well, it's a deep purpley red. It's a start. I've started juicing every morning as a way to get my body back into a healthy, sexy, beautiful piece of machinery. So my days will be starting out with the juice of 1 beet, 1 stalk of celery, 2 carrots, a bit of whatever lettice or cabbage I have, 1 apple and some cucumber and a little later a handful of raw almonds. It's actually quite yummy and I have enjoyed it thus far. I'm hoping to make it a lifestyle change as I've been thinking about doing it for a long while and I can certainly see the health benefits of it. I'll keep you posted and if I find some really cool and yummy concoctions I'll let you know!!

If you remember this...

If you remember this.

I am pleased to report that BOTH sketched books have been found safe and sound!! One was in Mike office stuff and the other was packed in one of my over night bags. I don't have a scanner and they didn't quite turn out clearly when I tried to take a picture of them so unfortunately I cannot share. I just wanted to let you know that tonight I am feeling quite blessed.

Do you know that I hadn't remembered that I was trying to do a self portrait of myself pregnany with Liam and I found it in one of the sketch books? How cool is that? (not that I actually completed much of it).
