Monday Menu Plan-Oct 19th

Picture 11

I've decided to start with Saturday as that is when we do our shopping for the week...

Saturday: Mexican style tortillas with guacamole
Sunday: Vegetable Stir-fry (we ended up going out and I had pasta primavera and Mike and the kids had pizza)
Monday: Vegetable Stir-fry has been moved.
Tuesday: Lentil Dahl on rice
Wednesday: Chicken breast with carrots and potatoes
Thursday: Vegetable Potage (hopefully with homemade bread and butter)
Friday: Not sure yet but I am thinking leftovers.

  1. Hey Katrina,
Great job on the meal plan! :) We do vegetable stir-fry every Monday too. And last week we had lentil dahl on the menu for Tuesday, but we didn't end up making it (such is life sometimes!).
    What's in your vegetable potage?

  2. Thanks Alissa,

We used to eat a lot of stir fry but we haven't lately. I want to get back into it. I usually cook an Indian inspired meal on Tuesdays because I find that it reheats well when we get home late (6:30-7ish) from drama class.

My potage is usually whatever I have on hand. On Saturday I made one with sweet potatoes, turnips and carrots and a little cream. Yummy. The I just season with salt and pepper most times. I sometimes make a zucchini curry one. It really just depends on what I want to use up. It's our favorite meal!!

  3. The Vegetable Potage sounds yummy.

The supper for tonight was Farfalle with Artichoke Hearts and Olives in a Ricotta.
The Girl ate the Farfalle with olive oil and Balsamic vinegar and olives. The Boy ate Farfalle with butter and cheese.

Oh well, at least I enjoyed the recipe the way it was intended.
