I love the beach. I love to bury my feet in the sand. I'm really an ocean type girl. Unfortunately I do not live near the ocean now so I have to make due with the sand in our sand box.
Much fun was had today outside in the sand.

I love rainbows and my so does Liam. He's been hearing lots about rainbows on shows that he watches on tv (maybe a spring theme, I am not sure) and has been asking me for weeks when we'd be able to see a rainbow. Luckily this week we got the chance and it was a magnificant rainbow. Liam wanted to know if we could go to the end of the rainbow and also wanted to know if his daddy was looking at the same rainbow. It was very special to stand in the yard and look at it together and just talk.
since I was last here.
I can't figure out how to get my pictures at the size they are normally at so bear with me and I'll have my normal bigger pictures up soon!!
I guess it's giving us good practice for when we move out east later this year. We live in a corridor and it is either really beautiful and hot or it is raining and VERY windy (and when we get a storm, man, is it stormy). Anyways, a week or two a ago we were getting 25+ degree temperatures and this was us today....
By the way, I was dressed in a t-shirt, a sweater with a hood, and wrapped in a huge blanket and I was still frozen. At least she was having fun!!
My baby has turned into a real little boy!!
(a few months after his second birthday)
Happy birthday beautiful boy!!!!
Spring showers. I love the freshness that is in the air after an early morning shower. It seems to wash away the stagnicity of a long winter, leaving things fresh and new.
Lilacs. We had a lilac bush beside our house when I was a child and to this day it is one of my favorite scents.
Each Friday I would like to share one of my favorite (and usually simple) pleasures in life.
This week it is coffee. More precisely a strong cappuccino with a rich cocoa and cinnamon topping.
I had this one last week as a reward for finishing my course in time. Yes, I procrastinated but considering that I managed to cram a 6 credit unversity course into 4 weeks I figured I deserved the treat. Oh, it was devine!
I'd love one day to open up a little coffee shoppe/bakery type place. It's something Mike and I have talked about for years. My baking has come along remarkably well (amazing what watching Food Network can teach you) and I am sure I will be sharing so of my favorite baked treats on a Friday in the near furture!
We spent the afternoon outside today playing in the sand box and running around. We played tag and kicked a soccer ball around too. I am beat. I think I need to find Liam some little friends to play with. He is so full of energy and Morgaine, well she never sits still.
We sometimes get little airplanes flying overhead but today we saw our first helicopter. Morgaine was thrilled.
"Look, Mum, it's a helicopper!"

Well, I am still at my 2 foot high desk. Here are some pics of the basement before:
And here is after:
It hasn't changed too much yet! I can't wait for it to be finished!
